Getting Back to My Workout Regimens

February 10, 2015

For the last 6 months I’ve been in “business boot camp” if you will. It was great for the mind but not so much for my workout regimen. It’s time to get back on the horse and balance that out. I started my Insanity workouts this week. So far, it kicked my butt as expected! However, in the past I didn’t add any weight training to my Insanity workouts. This time around I’ve added an extra 30 minutes of weight training to the end of my workout.  It was brutal, but I am glad I did it.

These are my Fitness Test Results…which I will do every 3 weeks or so.

Fitness Test 1 – 02/09/15 (each exercise is one minute long)

  • Switch Kicks – 50

  • Power Jacks – 32

  • Power Knees – 65

  • Power Jumps – 11

  • Globe Jumps - 6

  • Suicide Jumps – 10

  • Push Up Jacks – 12

  • Low Plank Oblique – 10

I was disappointed with my results, my numbers were much higher 6 months ago. This goes to show the important of a disciplined workout regimen. I will have to rebuild my strength, endurance, flexibility and overall fitness level. Not all is lost though; I believe I can achieve this again…after all the mind controls the body. Therefore, let’s get to it. For all of you who got your workout on today, more power to you!
