People have the misconception that eating very little can prevent weight gain. I’ll go as far as to say that some people believe that they might lose weight by not feeding the body & forcing it to use what’s already there. This type of thinking couldn’t be more wrong! When the body does not get enough fuel it begins to break down muscle for energy and instead of burning fat it ends up storing it. The breakdown of muscle makes it even harder to lose weight because muscle is metabolically active and fat is not.
Through proper nutrition and periodic cleanings a person could restore their metabolic system. Metabolism is the process by which your body converts food into energy. Even when you’re at rest, your body needs energy for all its “hidden” functions, such as breathing, circulating blood, adjusting hormone levels, and growing and repairing cells. Therefore, a well-balanced metabolic system is actually very important to maintain our bodies performing at an optimum level.
